A personal project: what if a typeface's variable axis controlled not weight, but how broken the letterform is allowed to look?
The Approach
I designed a two-axis variable font — weight and fracture — and built a specimen site that lets the fracture axis respond to scroll speed.
The Outcome
The specimen became a small case study in its own right, picked up by a handful of type-community link roundups.
